Fertility treatments

Pre-implantation genetic testing (PGT)

This technique is available at Fertility Plus for patients who have a known genetic disorder and are at risk of passing on this disease to their children.

Ovulation induction

Ovulation involves the use of medication to promote ovulation in women who normally do not ovulate.

Intra-uterine insemination (IUI)

IUI involves the placement of prepared sperm into the uterus, often using ovulation induction medication.

In-vitro fertilisation (IVF)

IVF is a process of stimulation using injectable medication to grow follicles and develop eggs and collect these in a surgical process.  The eggs and then put with sperm and incubated for a period of days until an embryo can be replaced. Other viable embryos are frozen for future use. Various specialised techniques and processes are used as part an IVF cycle.

Donors and surrogacy

This may involve:

  • Egg donation cycles
  • Donor insemination (DI)
  • Surrogacy
  • Embryo donation
Surgical options

This may include sterilisation reversal (for men) or surgery for endometriosis or tubal disease.

Fertility preservation

Medical interventions such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy or surgery may damage eggs or sperm. For this reason, women and men undergoing these procedures may sometimes undergo fertility preservation to preserve their eggs or sperm.
